Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a disorder that makes it difficult for a person to pay attention and control impulsive behaviors. One may also be restless and almost constantly active. ADHD can be caused due to genetic, non-genetic or environmental factors. Some of which are, use of alcohol, drugs or smoking during pregnancy, brain injuries, low birth weight, exposed to dangerous toxins at a young age, etc. Although the symptoms of ADHD begin in childhood, they can continue through adolescence and adulthood. Even though hyperactivity tends to reduce as a child becomes a teen, problems with inattention, disorganization, and poor impulse control often continue through the teen years and into adulthood.
As an ADHD coach, I specialise in guiding individuals with ADHD to harness their unique strengths. Through personalised one-on-one sessions, I empower clients to develop habits to support them in strengthening their executive functions like their working memory, planning & prioritisation, organising, time management, emotional regulation, self-control, attention amongst other difficulties that they face..
